Doctor’s Corner
Dear Patient,
Thank you for your time in considering my practice! As a doctor, there is no greater joy than helping patients achieve their goals. To help you determine whether I can be of service in attaining these goals, I would like to express my commitment to the four defining aspects of my practice.
First, I pride myself on my commitment to patients. My commitment manifests itself through a compassionate disposition and a self-demanding approach. I treat each patient as I would a member of my own family. I draw on my significant experience as a clinician, and I stay up to date with current treatment options.
Second, I have committed myself to the community. San Antonio has been my home since moving to the United States thirty-five years ago. As a resident, I was one of the first female obstetrician/gynecologists to train in San Antonio and became deeply attached to the city. As a result, I have raised a family here and am involved in various service projects throughout the city.
Third, I am committed to the education of future doctors for San Antonio and the country. For the past thirty years, I have served as a clinical professor in obstetrician/gynecology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Over that time, I have had the privilege of training and working with a number of great doctors. In fact, many of my residents are practicing doctors in San Antonio today! As an academician, I realized the importance of staying current with techniques, learning from patients and students, and adopting a flexible approach.
Fourth, I am firmly committed to the incorporation of innovative medical techniques and solutions into my practice, only in the case that they immediately and continually benefit my patients. I pride myself on continuing my education daily through research, investigation, and self-examination of my practice. To see my commitment to innovative medicine, look no further than my website. I include current news updates highlighting the evolution of women’s health guidelines and solutions that are also displayed on my blog. Recently, this commitment has led me to offering bio-identical hormones to my patients. These solutions do not work for each patient but represent another arrow in the quiver that physicians may wield in fighting alongside their patients to better their lives day in and day out.
All of these commitments form the basis for my experience as a physician. But they are secondary to my fundamental promise to you: I pledge to build an enduring relationship with you, if you choose to visit me. I will be available each and every time that you make an appointment or express a concern. And I will use each and every resource I possess to alleviate your concerns and help you achieve your goals.
Finally, I hope that my website has been helpful in getting to know me, my practice, and the services that I offer. I am always looking for ways in which to forge a stronger connection with my patients. I strongly believe that the use of electronic media, including my website and Facebook page, provide an essential link between patient and physician.
Again, thank you for taking the time to consider my practice. I sincerely hope to meet you or see you again in the near future.
